Electric Power Outlook 2019

In a five-year period, Latin America went from an energy crisis - which led hydrocarbon producing countries to having to import billions of dollars in fuel to sustain operations - to some slack on the supply side to the lowest prices worldwide in renewable generation projects. The electric power sector’s 2019 outlook will be marked by new wind and solar power plants entering operations, generation tenders, the start-up of a new LNG regasification plant in Panama and Vaca Muerta's natural gas production.
